Where “splits” have occurred the China Bird Reports, 2003,4 & 5 are followed. The Garrulax laughingthrushes are now split into several families, for simplicity I have retained the Mackinnon and Phillipps names. Abbreviations: Qincheng Shan QCS, Tangjiahe TJH, and Wanglang WL.
